Unique embroidery of a string quartet on rough silk backing

Description

I have come across only one other of these pieces on my travels where a picture has been made using scrap fabrics, sequins and braid and is sewn together to make up a scene. This vignette is of a french string parlour quartet sewn onto a rough silk background and attached to a back board. I simply adore these pieces and of course they are individual. This one measures 41 x 39 cm.
